Do you want to be part of a company that is committed to giving back to the community?Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute (HPHCI) is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Division of Biostatistics (BIO) within the Department of Population Medicine, Harvard Medical School & Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute (www.populationmedicine.org) as a Project Coordinator. The Division of Biostatistics is the home for statistical consultation and research at the Department of Population Medicine. Our interests span the design and analysis of cluster randomized trials, missing data methods, methods for causal inference in complex longitudinal settings, survival analysis, competing risks, methods for genetic and genomics, and interrupted time-series models.The Project Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with the operations for the Division. They will have the opportunity to work on various federally funded proposals and studies within BIO’s research portfolio. The Project Coordinator will support teams of investigators, biostatisticians, and project managers in preparing proposals and conducting projects. This position requires excellent communication skills for close collaboration with investigators and research staff, both within HPHCI and with external institutions and collaborators.Key Responsibilities/Duties – what you will be doing

Provide administrative support for the Division members. Plan and schedule meetings.

Oversee logistics of research projects, and participate in the cycle of grant application and renewal processes for projects and work closely with the faculty members and project managers on grant application and execution including statement of work, sponsored project application, IRB, timeline, subcontracts, budget development, financial reporting, regulation compliance, and technical support issues.

Manage divisional operations including filing and documentation, organize and update website, assist with composing annual reports and grants, track budgets, and manage relationships with vendors, external partners, subcontractors and third-parties.

Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications – what you need to perform the jobEDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

Bachelor's degree is required. A Master’s degree in public health or related field is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE (minimum years required):

At least one year of coordination experience in a health care, research, or academic is desired.

Experience with managing research activities is preferred.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and good team player.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, work independently, and use good judgment.

Resilient, collaborative, flexible, innovative.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work under standard office conditions and work from home as required.

Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.

May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.
