Position Overview:As a Senior IT Systems Engineer at CloudZero, you will play a pivotal role in the IT department, reporting directly to the Director of IT & Security. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure, improving our onboarding/off-boarding processes, and maintaining a secure IT environment in collaboration with the Security team. Candidates should be prepared to work in the office at least twice a week to facilitate collaboration and team meetings. This role also supports a workforce across the country and will occasionally require meetings outside normal east coast hours. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary member of the IT Helpdesk, actively engaging in the enhancement of onboarding and off-boarding processes.
Configure, architect, and manage a wide range of IT solutions critical to the organization's success.
Collaborate closely with the Security team to develop and implement secure practices across all IT tooling.
Spearhead initiatives to improve IT systems and processes through automation, leveraging your expertise in scripting and tool management.
Provide first-line support within a small, dynamic IT organization, demonstrating excellent soft skills and the ability to address technical issues efficiently.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in managing and configuring IT tools such as JAMF (including package management and deployment), Okta SSO, Slack, JIRA and Google Suite.
Proven experience in scripting (BASH, Python) to automate tasks and streamline operations.
Exceptional people skills with the ability to serve as first-line support, offering solutions and assistance with a customer-focused approach.
Comfortable with leading and driving IT related projects from start to completion while working with stakeholders across the business.
A demonstrated history of initiating and leading improvements in IT processes and systems through innovative use of technology.
A strong commitment to creating and maintaining a secure IT environment in collaboration with security professionals.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a cloud computing or technology-focused company.
Familiarity with IT security standards and best practices.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
