Principal or Lead Data Software Engineer - 100% remote - offices in NYC and Philly, with CTO in Boston
Focus on REMOTE candidates in Boston, NYC or Philadelphia who are available for full-time work and are work authorized.
Focus is on candidates who can hit the ground running and enjoy remote: 100% REMOTE – awesome remote opportunity – well funded as they are a Joint Venture between two well known Billion dollar firms.
Working with the CTO, who Bivium has placed before and has a 20+ year relationship:
I am currently recruiting primarily for a principal engineers: people with good communication skills and strong data chops.
Details from the Hiring Manager:
1 person data team, first hire – will build the team within 6-12 months
Current work - Lots of reporting, Maintain data on ongoing basis, must have strong Data skill set.
A Full time focus on data , what new features and metrics, on the business analytics team they use looker and snowflake - could use redshift
Great written and verbal skills
Will Build queries, work with data team , push, pull, transactional , - stack mysql, aws, f3, dynamos, OLAP, OLTP, data, airflow, python and or scala , pyspark, running on glue, lambda stack
Move to engagement data vs core data, help figure out what needs to be done to cleanup and modernize. Near real time event processing, build team around this engineer, help hire and mentor team. Closely work with backend team and data Analytics.
Experience working with Looker, Tableau, or some other BI tool
Experience working with data stores
Experience working with Python and Scala
You love to collaborate and are comfortable leading a team
You are comfortable working with a product team to tease out requirements
MASSIVE plus if you have:
Experience with Apache Spark and AWS Glue
Experience working with AWS and relevant components including IAM, S3, etc
