Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Student Accounts Coordinator in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is centered on the educational industry and involves managing student accounts, handling payment plans, and processing daily student payments. The successful candidate will be based on-site and will be proficient in billing, collections, customer service, and account reconciliation.Responsibilities: Answer student and parent inquiries regarding financial status in a timely and professional manner. Set up and manage payment plans for students and families, ensuring all parties are clear on their responsibilities. Accurately process and post student payments daily, ensuring smooth financial operations. Assist with month-end reconciliation of student receipts in the college's administrative software. Maintain an assertive attitude and positive personality while interacting with students and parents. Keep accurate records of all student account activities for audit and reporting purposes. Monitor student accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary. Effectively communicate with different departments to resolve any account discrepancies. Use Excel and other software tools to manage and analyze student account data. Ensure all duties are carried out in line with the college's policies and regulations. Requirements The candidate must have at least one year of relevant experience in a similar role. Proficiency in billing and collections is a must. Demonstrated experience in customer service is required. The individual must possess strong skills in account reconciliation. The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail are essential. The individual must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications. Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines is a plus. The candidate should have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
