Our front of house team members welcome and care for our loyal and lovely guests. Counter team members will have a working knowledge of all Blacker’s products, serving delicious cakes and pastries, operating the point-of-sale register, putting orders together and keeping a clean and organized workspace. We expect our front of house team members to:
-Engaging, warm, and welcoming communication skills and presence
-Have a passion for and deep knowledge of our menu, our cake and pie offerings, and genuine hospitality
-Have a desire to help where needed and work as part of a team
-Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some holidays, afternoons/evenings
Summary of Counter Team Members’ Primary Responsibilities
-Provides gracious and high-quality service to our guests by, among other things, welcoming guests to our space and engaging with them throughout their experience
-Determine guests' needs by asking questions and sharing product knowledge
-Has comprehensive knowledge of all Blacker’s products
-Takes guests’ orders using our point-of-sale system/register
-Executes all Blacker’s product and packaging standards
-Maintains clean and well-stocked prep stations
-Actively maintains and supports cleanliness and visual/brand standards
-Complies with and follows all safety and sanitation standards at all times while adhering to our policies and procedures
-Other duties as assigned
