job title: Sous Chef
Sous chef will prepare food for events of various sizes and styles, including weddings, social celebrations, meetings, corporate events, and outside catering. They will work in a fast-paced environment and should be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure. The Sous Chef will directly with Executive Chef, also maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen.
Qualifications:
Culinary degree or equivalent experience
Serve safe certified a must, as well as Allergen Awareness
Experience in banquet cooking or in a similar role
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Experience with menu planning and creation
Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
