Medical Assistant (Cambridge, MA 02138)
Pay rate: $23 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday (8 am - 5 pm)
Notes: The position is for 13 weeks, but it can be extended depending on performance. Only people within 20-mile range.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant with Epic experience.
Duties:
Transcribing information from handwritten Doctors’ notes into electronic health records
Updating records with ongoing patient information, such as periodic vital signs
Gathering and verifying insurance coverage or helping process claims paperwork
Prepping patients by checking vital signs, guiding patients to exam rooms and providing instructions before they’re seen by Clinicians
Cleaning or maintaining medical equipment and supplies
Responding to patient needs, such as helping them get out of bed and bringing them food and water
