Looking for a motivated, organized mechanic to manage fleet and small engines for established, family owned landscape business. Hours are Monday through Friday with winter on call work.
Skills
Able to maintain skid steers, loaders, mini excavators, diesel and gas trucks, equipment trailers, enclosed trailers, and small engines (mowers, blowers, trimmers, saws, compactors, etc.)
Skilled at engines and controls, transmission and controls, breaks and suspension, hydraulics
Able to diagnose and repair electrical systems on trucks and equipment
Able to weld and cut
Skilled in DOT inspections
Skilled in operating equipment, including skid steers, loaders, mini excavators
Physical ability to perform tasks (able to stand, sit, walk bend reach; able to push/pull; able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs; able to grasp tools; able to discern color; able to preform repetitive motions)
Able to repair cooling, fuel, electrical, and exhaust systems.
Able to tune engines using standard testing equipment.
Able to perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles, including lubrication and oil changes
Maintain clear garage and equipment areas
Inventory, order, and control tools, supplies; research, compare, and locate parts for equipment and vehicles
Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed; track recalls, and warranties for all vehicle.
Qualifications
HD truck technical training or 2 years related experience
Current and valid driver’s license
DOT certification
Schedule
Monday thru Friday (some Saturday work)
Some late nights (as needed during busy season)
