Highschool Legal Internship Program, Law Office of Virginia Lee, CCHS

We are looking for rising sophomore or junior Concord-Carlisle high school student to join our Legal Internship Program. https://virginialeelaw.com/opinion-you-want-this-internship/ Internships are competitive and students usually work part-time for two years before graduation. Students become part of a network of post-graduate interns and many continue part-time after graduation. Work schedule includes in-office summer hours and, during the school year two in-office afternoons per week and occasional weekends. Students work on personal injury cases, litigation, and other general practice matters, plus remote work using Splashtop. Some of the programs we use are Google Drive, Adobe, Word, Excel, Google Sheets, Google Translate, Google Scholar, and Quick Books.

Student interns are mentored and work collaboratively with other interns. Interns must have interest in developing advanced skills and in facing challenges, as well as in handling the day-to-day requirements of working at a law office. Best fit candidates are those who take initiative, exercise leadership, are motivated and friendly, have outgoing personalities and positive attitudes, and are respectful to and enjoy working with others. Should have excellent writing and organizational skills as well as IT skills. Must communicate with and respond quickly to their colleagues via text, telephone, video, and email. Parent enthusiasm for internship a plus.

CC students take the bus to the Concord Professional Center during the school year. http://www.747main.com/ Summer hours are encouraged in between your other summer activities but only if you are working with us during the school year.

If you are a school athlete this job is not for you.

Interns and families must be fully vaccinated and boosted. General availability late Sunday afternoons (but not always) for remote joint check-in sessions is required (unless schoolwork needs attention). Interns also coordinate schedules for joint remotes.

Given the competiveness of this position, please immediately email your interest, resume, and include or follow up with writing samples. You may check with potential references, and follow-up with references, if available. If you have not completed a resume, email us asap to let us know you are interested, and send your resume and writing samples within several days.
