Exciting new opportunity for a Patent Prosecution Legal Assistant/Secretary to cover a medical leave for a Boston based law firm. We are looking for someone to start the week of the 12th (preferably Monday), to have a week overlap with the person going out. Estimated duration 6-7 weeks. Could have possibility to extend, as they may have additional work for the individual after the initial period. This person would need to be familiar with USPTO filing. Responsibilities would include assisting with the preparation, review and filing of patent applications, corresponding with clients via email and telephone and managing client requests, managing daily dockets, and ensuring all deadlines are addressed, maintaining, and organizing patent files and other electronic records, reviewing and proofreading patent documents, and other patent-specific and general administrative duties. This position is full-time on-site (Financial District). The schedule is 35 hours/week; 7 hours/day with one hour lunch break. Hours are 9-5 (could have flexibility within an hour or so).
