Just-A-Start is looking for an energetic, passionate Program Coordinator for our Summer Youth Enrichment Program. The Summer Program is a paid work experience for teens in the city of Cambridge, which operates during July and August. This is a part time position for 28 hours per week.RESPONSIBILITIES: Bring a positive energy to the program, helping to create an enriching first employment opportunity for teenage participants. Coordinate and prepare for all program field trips, placing a high priority on creating engaging experiences for our young people.Prepare and complete daily attendance and time sheets for youth, junior staff and senior staff.Assist with planning for all program activities and weekly staff meetings. Monitor students for possible disciplinary review. Monitor Junior Staff weekly meetings and gather feedback to improve program structure. Assist in planning for and running morning meeting with youth.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, and two years of successful experience with urban, teenage youth in similar setting, or equivalent Experience in community based organization a plus Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines Energetic and enthusiastic about JAS Summer Youth Enrichment Program mission Good computer skills with competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must have acceptable CORI Just-A-Start (JAS) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a better future by providing affordable housing, education, training, community engagement and supportive services.
