Beautiful Belmont boutique looking for creative, outgoing, motivated & energetic individuals with at least 2 years retail sales experience to fill seasonal and year-round positions in a fun and invigorating environment. We are a growing brand with many moving parts and candidates must be flexible, easy-going and able to multi-task in a busy environment. We sell new, artisan inspired goods alongside vintage and vintage-inspired items.
Sales Associate duties include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions to ensure maximum client satisfaction. Stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Must be able to accurately and efficiently process sales through a POS system. Must be able to creatively gift wrap items in a fast paced setting.
Responsibilities
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
Ability to make gifts and gift baskets in an aesthetically pleasing way
Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions in assigned areas
Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
Process POS (point of sale) purchases
Cross sell products
Handle returns of merchandise
Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
Build productive trust relationships with customers
Comply with inventory control procedures
Skills
Proven work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role-at least 2 years prior retail experience.
Proficiency in English
Basic Math skills
Hands-on experience with POS transactions
Familiarity with inventory procedures
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
Ability to perform under pressure
Availability to work flexible shifts, including AM, PM or weekends
High school degree
Must be able to life up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand for a 4 hour shift
Must be able to easily navigate stairs regularly on shift for restocking
Must be able to multi-task in a busy and often boisterous environment
Must have reliable transportation
