We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient In-House Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting detailed information from the Salesforce platform, including pictures, diagrams, and notes.
Training will be done by owner with easy laid out templates and concise line by line item information ready for pricing. This position requires strong administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently after training.
Key Responsibilities:
Retrieve information from Salesforce platform including pictures, diagrams, and notes provided by sales and project teams.
Transcribe and consolidate information into comprehensive construction quotes using predefined templates.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all line item details for pricing purposes.
Collaborate with sales, project management, and estimating teams to clarify project requirements as needed.
Utilize phone pictures and other digital tools effectively to gather necessary information.
Learn and adapt to our specific processes and templates for quoting.
Qualifications:
Option 1: Engineering background with a minimum of a 4-year degree.
Option 2: Construction superintendent (unlimited mass or ABC Boston) with excellent administrative skills and follow-through.
Option 3: 4-year degree with a minimum of 15 years of field experience as a carpenter or mason, coupled with excellent administrative skills and follow-through.
Above-average computer skills with a background in Salesforce preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements:
Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into accurate quotes.
Training will be provided by the owner and will last approximately 30 days to ensure proficiency in our systems and processes.
