Head of Contracts, North America (Cambridge, MA or Nashville, TN) The role of the Sr. Director Contract Management North America is a critical role directly responsible for all aspects of contract operations I2O => M2O => O2C contract strategy, design, drafting, negotiation, and deployment to support the North America Region and Business strategies. Your role:
Manage a team of Contract Managers, Contract Specialist, and Contract Analysts who manage all contracts (instrument/negotiation, system set-up, and customer price files) for all the sale of products/solutions and services for all channels.
Collaborate with senior and executive levels across the Leadership Teams (North America Leadership Team, including finance, legal, marketing, Q&R, and Regional Business Leaders) to translate business strategies into effective contract strategies, procedures and policies.
Provide innovative thought leadership to lead, develop, and implement contract initiatives that enhance service delivery, customer experience, and workforce efficiency across NA.
Drive key business transformations and develop creative solutions that enable realization of business strategies
Develop and deploy contract initiatives aligned with North America and global requirements.
Partner with Q&R to drive corrective/preventive actions to ensure that quality standards and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements for the organization are met.
Mobilize people by raising stakeholder’s engagement to required levels.
You're the right fit if:
Master’s Degree or equivalent experience with proven understanding of strategic business acumen
15+ years’ experience in Contract Management including contract negotiation, contract process and delivery of service, and risk analysis
Your skills include…
Medtech experience preferred
Experience working effectively in a matrixed environment
Experience with SaaS contracts
Demonstrate experience in large commercial organization in one or more operational areas (e.g. Contract Management, Legal, Finance, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, etc.).
Collaborative mindset with the ability to effectively partner with senior levels in the organization and work in a matrix environment to drive decisions and produce results.
Strategic thinking/planning skills and in-depth understanding of complex and dynamic contract management operations required to effectively balance contract performance and customer satisfaction.
Ability to translate complex and abstract ideas into actionable strategies and lead senior level managers and influence other functional areas leaders to implement and execute procedures, policies and programs.
Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to support growth. Must create competitive strategies and plans, consistently meet and exceed goals.
Ability to partner with all levels of management in the NA geography, and globally.
Effectively manage numerous business issues at a broad conceptual level and tolerate ambiguity.
Aptitude to defuse customer (internal/external) escalations issues/ concerns and reset relationship.
Excellent leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead an organization to achieve business objectives and financial targets.
Skilled with contracts that support all business channels (direct sales of product and services, distributor, retail, SaaS, US Federal Govt and Canada etc.)
Demonstrated ability to interface with customers effectively and always instill confidence in the situation.
Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills
