Description We are seeking a Sr. Tax Accountant to join our team in Stoughton, Massachusetts. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity within the financial industry. As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities involving tax-related processes, data gathering for tax filings, and resolving inquiries from taxing authorities and internal departments. Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of select Federal related processes, such as tax depreciation Assist in the compilation and processing of premium tax returns and accruals, along with state income tax estimates Gather and manage data requirements for all aspects of tax filings including 1099, W-2, and 5498 forms Contribute to filing reconciliations such as IRS forms 941 and 945 Efficiently track, remit, and file guaranty fund assessments in a timely manner Handle responsibilities for municipal tax and sales & use tax filings Prepare tax account reconciliation on a periodic basis Research and draft responses for notices and inquiries from taxing authorities, vendors, and other internal departments Perform other tasks as needed, demonstrating proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal, Business Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Financial Software, and other Accounting Functions.Requirements Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal for financial analysis and data management Familiarity with various business systems and their applications in accounting Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for managing business processes Knowledge of different financial software used in accounting and auditing Demonstrated ability in performing various accounting functions such as budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial statement analysis Expertise in auditing procedures, including planning, execution, and reporting Proficiency in capital management, including strategies for increasing capital efficiency Experience in managing cash activity, including cash flow forecasting and cash balance reporting Knowledge of compliance regulations in the accounting and finance sector, including tax laws and financial reporting standards.
