Now Hiring: Line & Prep Cook — Laurino’s Tavern (Brewster, MA)
Laurino’s Tavern is a lively, family-run Italian-American restaurant on historic Route 6A in Brewster. We’re growing and looking for a reliable Line & Prep Cook to support our kitchen team.
You’ll:
Prep vegetables, sauces, proteins, and dressings to spec; label/date using FIFO
Set up and break down stations (grill, sauté, fry, salad, pizza as needed)
Cook menu items to order during service; plate consistently to house standards
Follow recipes, portioning, and ticket timing; communicate 86s and delays
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation: temps, logs, handwashing, and station organization
Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and keep walk-in/dry storage orderly
Assist with banquets and large-party trays; help other stations as needed
Practice allergen awareness and cross-contamination prevention
You’ve got:
1–2+ years kitchen experience (prep and one hot line station preferred)
Solid knife skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency
Ability to lift 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment
Team mindset, reliable attendance, and clear communication
ServSafe Food Handler (or willingness to obtain)
Nights/weekends/holidays availability in season; reliable transportation
