Description:
We’re looking for a reliable person to maintain and monitor a residential hot tub between guest stays at a short-term rental property in Falmouth, MA. This is a per diem position with flexible hours depending on turnover schedules. Ideal for someone with experience in pool/spa care or a mechanically inclined handyman looking for extra work.
This position would be a year round opportunity and may have opportunity to expand to general handyman responsibilities as well.
Duties Include:
Check and balance water chemistry between guests (chemicals provided)
Drain, clean, and refill hot tub as needed (at least once every 3 months)
Inspect hot tub for issues such as:
Malfunctioning jets or lights
Worn out or missing headrests
Leaky or loose fittings
Report if additional chemicals or supplies are needed
Occasionally shovel a short path to the tub in winter if access is needed
Communicate clearly with owner regarding any problems or repairs
Requirements:
Reliable transportation and Basic understanding of hot tub or pool chemistry (or willingness to learn)
Able to bend and perform light manual work. Light shoveling in the winter might be needed to get to the hot tub or panel box, but likely not. We do pay to have snow removal so you will not need to do much shoveling, if at all.
Must be dependable and responsive via phone/text
Experience in hot tub maintenance a plus, but not required
Compensation:
$20 per visit (routine) - This task would be less than 1 hour, but we will pay for 1 full. You need to check the chemicals and balance the water. Clean anything that looks messy. Check for needed chemical refills etc.
$75 for full drain/clean/refill visits. This would take 2.5. -3.0 Hours. The tub needs to be drained, refilled, and the temperature set to make sure it is up to temperature for the next set of guests.
