Job Description:The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for overseeing quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure production standards are met. This role includes creating and maintaining process documentation, supporting QA reporting efforts, and assisting with audits and metrics. The Quality Assurance Engineer will supervise the production floor and manage nonconforming materials while ensuring all quality standards and procedures are upheld.Key Responsibilities:

Process Documentation:

Develop and maintain procedures, process maps, and job aids.

Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and adheres to company standards.

Quality Assurance Reporting:

Assist in QA reporting, including management reviews, quality alerts, test records, and 8D reports.

Support the Quality Systems Manager in audits, KPI tracking, and approval processes.

Continuous Improvement:

Implement and control continuous improvement initiatives (KVP, KVS, 5S, etc.) on the production floor.

Collaborate with responsible departments to meet QA requirements, including supplier evaluations and audits.

Production Floor Supervision:

Oversee inspection activities of the Kanban production line.

Manage and evaluate nonconforming material processes (MRB, DMR, OOBF).

Ensure production standards (ESD, 5S, lean, etc.) are maintained according to relevant job aids.

Maintain organized QA test plans and results.

Testing and Quality Initiatives:

Delegate inspection tasks for company products to quality personnel.

Develop and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment.

Lead root cause analysis for high-priority returned items, out-of-box failures, and corporate initiatives.

Troubleshoot and test serial production issues.

Perform field and vendor visits as requested to investigate repetitive failure claims or low-quality performance.

Provide detailed reports on root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions based on quality reporting, customer complaints, or management requests.

Maintain and support corrective and preventive actions, including appropriate documentation.

Education and Experience:

BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or another technical discipline.

Minimum of 3 years in Quality Assurance.

Experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment.

Working knowledge of SAP (System Applications and Products).

ASQC CQE Certification preferred.

Intermediate Level
