Associate Director, Forecasting/Performance Analytical Product Leader, Global BI Capabilities & Solution Delivery

Biogen’s global BI Capabilities & Solution Delivery is looking for an associate director, Forecasting/Performance analytical product lead. As a member of the broader Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, you will lead the efforts to design/architect solutions, create implementation roadmaps to support current and future needs within the areas of Forecasting and Performance Management.

Biogen’s global BI Capabilities & Solution Delivery is looking for an associate director, Forecasting/Performance analytical product lead. As a member of the broader Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, you will lead the efforts to design/architect solutions, create implementation roadmaps to support current and future needs within the areas of Forecasting and Performance Management.

  • Plan and coordinate the collection of ‘voice-of-customer’ requirements for the platform by working across the various teams within Commercial organization to identify, integrate, and prioritize the common capabilities and features needed and defining a product roadmap for the solution
  • Champion the entire product life cycle from concept through planning to development of the forecasting/performance analytical product by collaborating cross-functionally (with end users, engineering, project leadership and key stakeholders) to translate high-level use cases into actionable product requirements, development specifications and releases. Design end-to-end solutions and application enhancements that meet the needs of the Commercial teams
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to produce a process of moving seamlessly from user experience, wireframes to mocks to fully functional prototypes. Test and refine designs & prototypes with users and stakeholders to ensure product deliverables meet expectations
  • Define and manage scope of various platform releases in alignment with key stakeholders and roadmap
  • Develop protocols and methodologies to measure success criteria for beta site projects
  • Help identify and manage third party vendor relationships and collaborations, as appropriate, in relation to overall life cycle management of the solution
  • Create collateral, orchestrating and refining content and roadmaps from domain and content owners to produce synthesized and highly consumable views of broad platform strategies and activities
  • Present updates to senior leadership
  • Drive business issue resolution and provide functional clarifications to development team. Identify and empathize with customer pain points and always seek to deliver products, features, and extensions which acutely address their needs.

The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders to interpret, define, and prioritize product backlog while utilizing Agile principles to deliver innovate analytical products to market

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 8+ years as Product lead, driving medium/large complex projects in an Agile environment
  • Solid understanding and experience with pharmaceutical engagement models {medical or performance/forecasting/sales}
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill set, including Excel and PowerPoint skill, ability to learn systems quickly
  • Excellent strategic thinking capabilities with ability to synthesize large amounts of information and logically structure deliverables
  • Product design experience with CRM (Veeva, SFDC), Business Intelligence (PowerBI, Veeva MyInsights) or leadership/forecasting solutions
  • Familiarity in bringing solutions to market via HTML5/JS a plus
  • Extensive experience in leading via influence in an individual contribution role, on a Product Design team
  • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing a foundation in user experience design methods, Visual Design, and Ideation process in an agile environment.
  • Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid growth environment as well as experience partnering with Product Managers to develop the strategy and rationale for features
  • Experience with prototyping to explore and convey design solutions
  • A strong belief in user centered design principals as well as experience with design-driven UI/UX implementation
  • A keen understanding of customers' core needs and motivations, and know how to identify them and turn them into actionable requirements
  • Past experience using project and product release tracking tools

Other requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 20%
