We are seeking an expert IT Program Manager (PGM) to lead a significant Portfolio of projects for the Clinical Trials Division. The PGM is responsible for coordinating programs that are led by the IT PMO. The PGM is tasked with developing programs comprised of multiple related projects that span multiple years in support of the Group’s strategic direction. These could include regular recurring release management activities for large, sophisticated systems that have Group or Company-Wide impact. Together, we can have a significant impact on the programs that help put the patient first!In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have prior experience in project, program, release management, organizational change, and team management. Deep experience with the complexities of delivering major programs in a regulated environment (e.g. GxP/SOX/HIIPA/GDPR) is important to the candidate's success. A solid understanding of the process of drug discovery, clinical trials and supply chain logistics will help you succeed in this role.Responsibilities
Coordinate programs and activities in accordance with mission and goals.
Develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.
Contribute to the development of, and lead progress towards long-term goals.
Develop a budget and operating plan for the program.
Develop metrics to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
Write program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.
Lead a matrixed team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
Ensure goals are met regarding customer satisfaction, safety, quality and team performance.
Implement and lead changes to ensure overall program goals are achieved.
Meet with customers and partners to make communication easy and transparent regarding program issues and decisions on services.
Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
Analyze program risks and cross-project dependencies to minimize impact.
Lead the day-to-day activities of multiple resources as defined by the program strategy. Evaluate project managers and other staff as needed
Program Manager Requirements
Bachelor degree, Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare IT, or related field.
10+ years of progressively growing responsibility managing projects and programs in Information Technology as it applies to healthcare (Biotech, Pharma, Medical Device, etc)
Validated experience in program management, customer engagement, leading managers
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Detailed understanding of project management methods and standard processes based on demonstration of a shown track-record of project and program delivery.
Detailed understanding of the technology and healthcare landscape (external) and how it influences and defines strategies to help companies deliver on shareholder expectations (Revenue, Operating Margin, and/or Customer Satisfaction)
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Proven problem-solving ability
