The role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization.This is a hands-on position offering broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, project accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.Working closely with the Controller and partnering with project managers and employees across the organization. You will have the opportunity to understand the business beyond the numbers, investigate financial trends and variances, and contribute to accurate reporting and informed business decisions.This is an ideal opportunity for an accountant who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be a valued business partner rather than simply process transactions.Job Responsibilities: Monitor project accounting costs, investigate variances, and identify discrepanciesPrepare, reconcile, and review monthly and year-end accounting transactionsContribute to budgeting and forecasting activities and provide financial analysisManage the expense reporting process and fixed assetsSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including collectionsResearch financial variances and discrepancies and work with internal stakeholders to resolve issuesCollaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to support accurate and timely financial informationPerform other accounting and financial analysis responsibilities as needed
