We're Hiring: Kitchen Manager (Hands-On Role)
Are you a skilled cook who knows how to lead a kitchen and isn’t afraid to jump on the line when it gets busy? We’re a small-town restaurant with a loyal local following, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Manager who’s both a strong leader and a team player in the kitchen.
About the Role
This is a working manager position. You’ll lead the kitchen team, but also be actively cooking during service—especially on busy nights. If you enjoy fast-paced shifts, keeping things organized, and making great food consistently, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Work the line during service alongside your team
- Oversee kitchen staff scheduling, training, and performance
- Manage ordering & prep lists
- Enforce health and safety standards
- Collaborate with ownership on specials, menu planning, and cost control
What We’re Looking For
- Strong cooking skills (line experience required)
- Previous experience in a kitchen leadership role
- Calm under pressure, organized, and dependable
- A hands-on leader who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves
- Food safety certified (or willing to become certified)
