The Risk Analytics Senior Analyst will contribute to the design, development, and production of non-financial risk analytics and reporting for a wide number of stakeholders within Citizens. Our team produces dynamic, forward-looking reporting focusing on the level and types of material risk exposures of the wider Bank, enabling business and risk executives to proactively identify and manage risks. The candidate will keep informed about evolving regulatory and industry standards and use knowledge to contribute to improvements in reporting for the Bank. While in this role, you will act as a “one stop shop” for risk reporting, presentation materials, ad hoc requests and analytics following a clear established protocol, while promoting efficiency, standardization, and effective controls. Produce consistent, timely, accurate and complete risk reports to enable horizontal analysis of various non-financial risks across the Bank in standardized formats suitable for regulators, executive management, and the Board of Directors
Proficiently extracting risk data on a regular basis from key business, operational, compliance and control systems to enable horizontal analysis of various non-financial risks
Ability to generate, analyze, validate, and present non-financial risk data independently, in order to provide meaningful insights to stakeholders as well as prompt responses to inquiries for follow-up
Identify and utilize an array of technical tools/architecture to enable the ability to aggregate, analyze, report, and streamline the maintenance and refresh of non-financial risk data
Participate in the preparation of special reports and other ad hoc reporting projects from key business, operational, compliance and control systems
Stakeholder engagement and communication, including managing relationships, addressing concerns, and providing regular updates
Driving a continuous improvement mindset contributing to advances in efficiency and effectiveness by leveraging new tools deployed in the Bank.
Perform ad hoc reporting, data analysis and data extractions for various analytic purposes such as trend analysis or response to management or regulatory requests.
Required Skills/Experience:
2-3 years working in a corporate environment in an analyst role
Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint presentation skill necessary (e.g., pivot tables, advanced functions, Visual Basics for Application (VBA) / Macros)
Strong oral and written communications skills
Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills with a demonstrable ability to engage senior management and engage at all levels of the organization
Must be well organized, detail oriented and confident to work independently as well as a strong team player
Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a fast-paced and evolving work environment
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Risk Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or equivalent field.
