We are currently taking applications for a warehouse manager. Must be very organized. Additional tasks will include but not limited too scheduling of deliveries. Please review the following to see if you are the right fit for the job.

WAM1 - Ensure that the operations functions of the company support the company's mission and values. There is strong evidence of customer satisfaction resulting from the ways the customer is handled after the sale, and the ways that the product is handled.

WAM5 - Oversee the loading of delivery trucksto ensure that the correct items are loaded on the trucks. Ensure also that no extra items are on the truck and that the merchandise is in appropriate condition. There is no pattern of damaged goods, multiple trips to complete a delivery, missing items resulting from delivery, or extra items loaded.

WAM6 - Oversee the checking in of delivery trucks.Ensure that merchandise picked up, refused, undelivered from not-at-homes, transferred back to the warehouse or picked up from off sight displays, is all properly checked back in. The company's assets are secure.

WAM12- Maintain forklifts and other handling equipmentto manufacturer's specifications. There is no pattern of equipment failure due to inappropriate maintenance and equipment is repaired immediately as needed.

WAM13 - Oversee the removal of snow and the maintenance of the exterior of the building as well as its grounds. Snow is removed by store opening when possible, and the exterior and grounds are maintained. Must have personel available and proper equipment available.

WAM14a “ Ensure building security. Inspect alarms and surveillance equipment. Verify all company policies designed to protect company contents are complied with. The building and all contents are properly secured.

WAM15 - Coach the warehouse, delivery and service teams.Prepare agendas, conduct quarterly private sessions (or more often as needed), observe performance, and provide training as needed. The teams accomplish goals, performance is above standard and the team members support your efforts to assist them with performance improvement efforts.

WAM16 - Recruit, interview, hire, discipline, and if appropriate, terminate, team members. The warehouse staff is appropriate in size and quality of performance.

WAM17 - Oversee the warehouse team.Create and monitor schedules, ensure that performance is timely, the quality and quantity of work exceeds standards, and priorities are understood. The teams accomplish their tasks and support its leader.

WAM20 - Ensure that all company vehicles are maintainedto manufacturer's standards. Ensure that all licensing and inspection of vehicles is current. Any necessary repairs are performed as soon as possible to return vehicle to duty. Any safety related issues prevent vehicles from being used by employees, until corrected. Logs and other necessary documentation are maintained and available for inspection.

WAM25 “ Create policies, procedures and forms to improve the operations of the warehouse. Policies, procedures and forms improve efficienies and effectivness of the warehouse.

WAM26 - Ultimately responsible for the recruiting and staffing of warehouse associates.The correct staff level is maintained to fulfill your company mission statement and provide the proper level of service, and a list of candidates is available to start within 2-3 weeks. Interview forms are used and maintained in associate's files. The warehouse is properly staffed, hiring decisions are good, interview forms are maintained, and candidates are ready to join the company within 2-3 weeks.

WAM28 “ Oversee building maintenance on the regular basis. Identify needed repairs, maintenance for the building including rugs, tiles, walls, windows, etc. Building maintenance issues are identified and issues are addressed.

WAM29 “ Plan and oversee all maintenance and special cleaning. Projects are priortized in cooperation with the general manager and estimates are obtained. Estimates are approved by general manger and work is scheduled and completed.

WAM30 “ Develop an efficient system for dealing with emergency repair problems. Plan for emergency repairs is reviewed and approved by general manager and a document is produced for emergency repair procedures and contacts.

WAM31 “ Order standard maintenance materials as needed and make recommendations for special equipment and supplies that may be required. Standard maintenance materials are on hand, and recommendations for special equipment and supplies have been provided to general manager.

WAM32 “ Ensure outside lighting is adjusted seasonally. Outside lights are adjusted to come on as it gets dark and go off as it gets light.

WAM33 - Be responsible for opening the building and carrying keys. The warehouse is opened on time.

WA1 - Ensure customer satisfactionthrough the careful, complete, timely and accurate processing of the merchandise. Customer interactions are handled professionally with courtesy. Products and customers are handled above company standards.

WA4 - Prepare merchandise for customer pickupby pulling, opening, and inspecting product. The correct merchandise is pulled, and defects are identified and corrected. Merchandise is safely loaded into customer vehicles. All merchandise is pulled within 30 minutes of notification of customer pick up, if the customer is here waiting at the store, and all problems are resolved as soon as possible.

WA6 - Perform minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs and minor repairs. Maintenance is performed as requested or required.

WA8 - Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.Sweep aisles, store merchandise and remove packing materials and trash. Warehouse inspections support the fact that the warehouse is properly cleaned and organized.

WA10 - Receive merchandise and store it in a timely manner. Semis and containers are unloaded, received and put in location in a timely manner per company expectations.

WA11 - Receive packages from the US mail, UPS, FedEx, etc.Deliver to appropriate Hearth employee. Packages are appropriately received for the hearth department and delivered to the correct employee.

WA13 - Place floor samples per the direction of the sales manager. The SOP for this process must be followed. Floor movement occurs as directed.

ADT10 - Perform cycle inventories Cycles are completed accurately and on schedule. Discrepancies are researched and resolved, and appropriate inventory adjustments facilitated.

ADM2 - Responsible for reporting shortages in inventory for reorderResearch and report variances between book and perpetual inventory, understood and does not increase each month. The book to perpetual inventory is accurately audited each month and adjusted accordingly.

ADM3 - Establish yearly inventory cycle schedule.Verify its accuracy. All inventory categories are counted no less than every 6 months, more often if having a problem. Research and reconcile inventory discrepancies. System inventory reports accurately reflect the physical inventory and there is no evidence of reserved goods out of location.

ADM4 - Approve inventory write-offs after ensuring that proper actions were taken to locate inventory, repair defects and or obtain manufacturer/s reimbursement.Merchandise is written off only when completely satisfied that it is missing or beyond repair. Shrinkage is controlled and within budgeted ranges.

DR5 “ Oversee loading of vehicles.Ensuring that merchandise is secure, properly padded, and that space usage is maximized. Ensure that everything that is needed for each delivery is loaded. View the delivery ticket closely to ensure that nothing needed for set up was left off the ticket. Truck is appropriately loaded, and leaves the dock by 8:00am each morning.

SVM12 “ Comply with OSHA and maintain OSHA records. Company is in compliance with OSHA and all OSHA records are maintained as required.OSHA incidents are immediately reported.

SVM17 “ Inspect and check in all merchandise returned on service and installation vehicles. All merchandise that returns to the warehouse at the end of the day is checked in and documented.

ADM30 - Compliments and complaints whether in person, by phone, or by mail about an employee are written down, responded to within twenty-four hours, and passed along to that employee.Employee takes information then passes along to manager and then passes on to HR Compliments and complaints are documented and responded to within 24 hours and passed along to that employee and that employee's supervisor.

ADM36 “ Conduct regularly scheduled employee performance evaluations. Employee performance evaluations are conducted as scheduled.

ADA6 - Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of the company. Organizations value is protected by keeping information confidential.

CA7 - Handling incoming phone calls. Customers are not left on hold for more than 45 seconds and all calls are handled with the utmost professionalism in accordance with company policies.

CS6 - Communicate with senior management concerning service resolution problemsoutside of company parameters. Senior management get few surprises from upset customers.

DR16 - Perform other non-delivery and installation taskswhen available. All deliveries should be routed as efficiently as possible. As deliveries are completed, seek out and perform other tasks as needed or requested. There is strong evidence that deliveries are efficient and that drivers are available to perform other tasks as needed and time allows.

CL1 - The warehouse is cleaned properly in order to show off the company and the merchandise in the best possible way. The warehouse is cleaned to make the shopping experience as pleasant as possible.

CL3 - Replace light bulbs. Light bulbs are replaced as needed daily.

CL9 - Clean up spills or accidents during the day. Emergency clean up is performed as needed.

G1 - Perform other tasks as requested by management.Volunteer as time allows. You understand that there is no such thing as "It's not my job", and you participate in a total team effort.

G2 - Ensure that not too many other tasks are migrating into your job description.Inform management of your inability to successfully complete your own job description tasks, due to too many "special" projects. Management is made aware of too many tasks migrating into your job description.

G3 - Participate in evaluations as required.Work as a team with management to develop your own performance. Performance improvement is successfully accomplished and management supports your efforts.

G4 - Develop professional working relationships with all company employees and all teams.Conflicts get resolved quickly, permanently and with management's assistance as needed. There is strong evidence to indicate that good working relationships exist with all employees and that conflict resolution is sought as needed.

G5 - Assist in the training of other employees. Training of other employees is consistently performed in a positive manner, and up to company expectations.

G6 - Participate in the taking of physical inventories. You participate as scheduled; your counts are timely and accurate.

CS5 - Organize all partsMatch them to the service request upon receipt. Communicate with technicians about the receipt of parts. Parts are organized and immediately matched to appropriate request.

CS15 “ Receive and inspect incoming parts for accuracy and acceptable condition. Shortages, mis-shipments are reported to office personnel responsible for part orders and unacceptable parts are reported to parts manager to determine need to re-order and/or claim to Vendor. Customer is then notified of part status.

CS26 “ Keep all part areas and displays stocked, organized and clean. All part areas have appropriate stock, parts are easily accessible and all stock areas are kept clean.

CS26a “ Coordinate stock levels on parts and accessories in showroom with sales department on weekly basis to ensure parts and accessories are current, organized, displayed and there is adequate stock. Ensure at least one of each accessory is on display including newly received dating orders.Current parts and accessories are organized, displayed and available for the customer.Parts are current, organized and in stock.

CS27 “ Label incoming parts and accessories, store in assigned bin locations and maintain bin locations noting any changes. Parts are clearly labeled and easy to find by bin location.

CS28 “ Put UPS parts away daily. UPS parts are put away daily and not lost or misplaced.

CS29 “ Allocated parts are labeled with name and date and organized on customer shelves that are regularly updated. Customer parts are in location on customer shelves that are regularly updated.

CS32- Maintain and manage parts inventory by performing monthly cycle inventories and yearly inventory, managing part returns and sending old parts back to manufacturer. Part inventory is accurate, returns accounted for and old parts are returned to the manufacturer.

CS33 “ Manage parts needed in service and install by pulling parts for service calls, monitoring and restocking unused service tech and installer parts. Parts for service and install are recorded and inventory remains accurate.

CS34 “ Maintain repair parts box. Repair parts are stocked and maintained.

ADM35 - Customers are contacted about special order parts for service. . There is no build up of special order parts for customers.

ADT4 - Accurately process receiving documents.Inform operations of newly filled sales orders that are ready for delivery scheduling. Delivery is contacted regarding newly filled sales within 1 day of receipt of merchandise.

DIS3 - Take calls from techs that are requiring assistance. Drivers are assisted promptly and issues are resolved.

WA4 - Prepare merchandise for customer pickupby pulling, opening, and inspecting product. The correct merchandise is pulled, and defects are identified and corrected. Merchandise is safely loaded into customer vehicles. All merchandise is pulled within 10 minutes of notification of customer pick up, and all problems are resolved as soon as possible.

CL10 “ Assist with the tagging and placement of accessories. Appropriate assistance is afforded the display department, as time allows.
