The Director of FP&A is a key position in the company that reports directly to the CFO and has significant exposure to the senior leadership team. We are looking for an innovative, self-starting individual who is interested in the fast-paced environment of a tier one automotive supplier. This position requires an individual who can work closely with global leadership and cross-functional staffs to ensure that profit objectives are exceeded. The ideal candidate will have prior finance experience in a manufacturing environment, prior supervisory experience, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable information. A strong background in financial analysis and reporting is required. This position is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Major Responsibilities:
Coordinate the development of the budget, long-range financial plan and financial forecasts
Develop presentations for Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors
Partner with global leadership and cross functional teams to provide detailed analysis of key performance metrics, financial trends and other aspects of the business that impact profitability
Manage the development of customer and program profitability reporting
Develop, track and drive adherence to the global capital budget
Manage the development of narratives and analytics for interim and annual reporting in support of financial reporting and investor relations activities
Continuously improve the FP&A process ensuring that accuracy and timeliness of reporting
Standardize/process flow work to ensure overall structure is optimized and areas of risk are mitigated
Support employee career development and retention through ongoing employee training, feedback, support, and recognition
Support global data requests for cross functional teams
Job Requirements:
Required Skills:
10+ years of experience in finance with increasing levels of responsibility
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work in a matrix organization
Strong financial acumen, with understanding of income statement / balance sheet and cash flow interrelationships and relate financial results to business activities
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS principles
Experience with financial management and planning systems (Hyperion & QAD strongly preferred)
Education:Required: BA – Finance or Accounting
Preferred: MBA or CPA
