The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and experience analyzing financial data.THE POSITIONBusiness Controller for customer projects within Division Electrification. The business Controller will be primarily responsible for financial activities related to the acquisition and development phases of a customer project.Responsibilities include:
Calculation of all commercial responses to our customers (quote Pre-Commitment Information Sheet (PCIS) and change requests)
Project cost calculations from innovation through acquisition and development phase until SOP
Perform all financial analysis for capital request, post completion audits, business sketches/cases, make vs. buy, benchmarking, etc.
Facilitator of the Cost Reduction (CRP) Process
Maintenance of electronic cost & profitability tracking tool “ePCIS” electronic Project Profitability Tracking during development (D3) phase
Driving the business to maintain / improve the awarded profitability – cost reductions, price increases, customer contracts, workshops, …
Business partner to PL / BU Management / Controlling / Project Managers
Support Sales regarding Customer Cost Analysis and manage the compliance of the Open Book Policy
Ensure corporate guidelines and processes for Business Controlling topics
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, operations, or related
3-7 years of experience in engineering, finance, operations, project management, or purchasing
Experience in evaluating processes to determine current relevance and drive change to position the organization as a market leader by utilizing streamline processes and proving the most relevant data
Experience inspiring others to achieve full potential and drive the business by challenging cultural norms and old ways of doing things
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good understanding of excel functions / formulas
Preferred Qualifications:
Finance or technical degree plus MBA
Proven ability to work with cross culture & cross regional teams
Experience working on international teams and understanding of other cultures (NA, Asia, several European cultures)
Experience working with automotive projects
Understanding of financial concepts such as IRR / ROS / NPV / Depreciation, etc.
Understanding of financial concepts such as IRR / ROS / NPV / Depreciation, etc.
Understanding of production concepts such as cycle time, efficiency, capacity, etc.
Understanding of global economics, ie. currencies and impact of different exchange rates
