Senior Communications Specialist Description:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Manage all PR & Communications activities for company. Devise communications strategy for the brand, in sync with Corporate HQ, and in view of global reach identify, evaluate, plan, and execute automotive, business, news and lifestyle press opportunities that promote the brand and its products by leveraging existing marketing platforms while suggesting new approaches.

Provide public relations counsel to management team members and staff.

Create stories that are authentic to the brand and are relevant to the customer by researching the brand's history and present.

Creatively leverage what is or has happened with the Company world and identify top news stories that require press releases, as well as filter out stories that would not need to be reported on or covered.

If a press release is required, know where to get the details for the story, key contacts at both corporate HQ and local offices, and within the media for the appropriate coverage.

Develop ideas and/or identify lifestyle events that we should participate in to elevate the brand to the next level of visibility.

Develop and coordinate content from press events that can be used for social media campaigns.

Be a company spokesperson.

Coordinate all internal Marketing deck strategy, creative, and execution.

Senior Communications Specialist Requirements:

10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in the preparation and execution of external and internal communications strategies, and development of media materials

Bachelors degree required - Communication, Marketing, or Public Relations (Master degree preferred)

5+ years of automotive experience, in-house or agency preferred

Experience with high-end automotive or luxury brand experience is a must

Proven experience in managing a team that performs various marketing functions

Ability to form trusting relationships with media

Strong organizational and verbal communication skills

Full understanding of media needs and media relationships and how the PR world is evolving alongside new technologies and consumer behaviors

Must be resourceful, team focused, and have strong problem-solving skills

Ability to work with senior executives to create strong relationships and understanding of how PR can serve or leverage other functions

Understanding of senior-level media relations

Knowledge and ability to write stories that are both proactive and reactive, but especially authentic to the brand and consistent over time

Expert ability to organize a CEO-level event with media present

Understanding of lifestyle events and deep media knowledge related to how technology and consumer behaviors are changing and in turn influencing the conversation with media and final customers

Excellent written and verbal communications skills
