The Manager of Strategic Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of external resources and supplier relationships. This position drives organizational efficiency and cost-effectiveness by overseeing resource requests, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations. The role requires a strong focus on data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement to optimize business outcomes.Core ResponsibilitiesVendor and Supplier ManagementManage a portfolio of external service providers, including leading regular meetings to discuss performance, strategy, and operational issues.Negotiate and oversee contract renewals and ongoing service agreements to ensure favorable terms and compliance.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to evaluate supplier performance and sourcing strategies.Lead strategic projects related to supplier management and outsourcing initiatives.Workforce and Resource PlanningManage resource allocation by reviewing, classifying, and approving internal service requests.Compile and consolidate workforce data from various sources to generate regular reports on headcount, cost, and capacity.Develop and present workforce planning forecasts and strategic insights to senior leadership.Monitor workforce trends and market conditions to inform long-term resource strategies.Operational Excellence and ComplianceDevelop, implement, and maintain operational processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.Ensure all resource management and supplier engagement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.Analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.Oversee regular data cleanup and maintenance of internal resource databases to ensure accuracy.Reporting and AnalyticsGenerate and distribute weekly, monthly, and semester-based reports on workforce metrics, project status, and cost tracking.Conduct financial calculations, such as monthly labor accruals and vendor cost tracking, to support budget management.Provide data-driven insights and presentations to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
