Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer

Direct Client NeedSUMMARYThe Controls Engineer will develop, implement, manage, and track new process systems and improvements that significantly increase operational efficiency, optimize resource utilization, and robustly support production goals.This role requires a comprehensive approach to identifying bottlenecks, designing innovative solutions, overseeing their successful integration, and continuously monitoring performance to ensure sustained productivity gains and alignment with strategic objectives.KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and specify electrical controls for the entire plant, including the creation of schematics, programming logic, and hands-on implementation.Design, program, and continuously update PLC programs for all plant equipment.Provide direct engineering and troubleshooting support to manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians for capital projects and preventive maintenance.Act as the subject matter expert (SME) across all departments regarding electrical and electrically related topics.Partner with outside equipment suppliers and vendors to effectively communicate our client's standards and technical practices.Investigate and research emerging developments in electronic and electrical technology fields, providing internal recommendations for potential applications within our client's organization.
