The Opportunity

INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

Our Multicraft Technicians are responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, compressed air, and pneumatic systems and components. In addition to these duties, our Industrial Craft Technicians also specialize in troubleshooting and repairing PLCs and electrical control systems.

Location: Battle Creek, MI.

Starting range for Multicraft: $26.33 - $33.04 (plus shift differential)

Starting range for Industrial Craft: $35.69 - $39.24 (plus shift differential)

Hours: 2nd or 3rd shift (2p-10p or 10p-6a)

Days: Mon-Fri (Saturday OT)

Skills in welding and machining are a plus. The technician applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment

Our technicians apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles to determine equipment malfunctions and uses their skills to restore equipment to operation. They provide skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing in our corrugated manufacturing plant. Skills in welding and machining are a plus.

What You Need to Succeed

Must have been trained in basic electrical and mechanical safety.

Minimum 2 years' experience in electrical component repair.

Must be able to read and draw schematics.

Proven experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields, with high proficiency.

A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.

Must have intermediate computer skills.

High degree of precision required, with the ability to work with minimum tolerances.

Ability to climb in/on overhead structures, work beneath machines, and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work.

Must be able to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.

Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Must be able to maintain good attendance and work ethic.

Demonstrate positive interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Must be able to perform all the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability and willingness to work any shift.

Ability and willingness to work overtime when necessary.

Must be prompt in reaching the assigned designated work area at the start of the shift and at the end of each break.

Highly motivated self-starter.
