This includes managing health and wellness programs, retirement plans, paid time off (PTO), and other employee benefits, ensuring alignment with business goals, employee needs, and local compliance requirements. The role involves strategic planning, operational management, and driving the continuous improvement of benefits programs to attract, retain, and engage a high-performing, diverse workforce.Your responsibilities will includeGlobal Benefits Strategy:
Develop and implement a comprehensive global benefits strategy aligned with the organization's overall business objectives and employee needs.
Partner with regional HR leaders to ensure the benefits program is competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with local laws and regulations across all global regions.
Provide thought leadership on benefits trends and emerging best practices, making data-driven decisions to optimize the benefits portfolio.
Program Design and Management:
Oversee the design, execution, and administration of health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, life insurance, disability programs, and other employee benefits offerings globally.
Evaluate existing benefits plans and make recommendations for enhancements or changes to improve employee engagement and satisfaction, while managing costs.
Ensure benefits programs meet the needs of a diverse, global workforce, considering different cultural, regional, and regulatory factors.
Wellbeing Program Development and Implementation:
Own Whirlpool’s bewell global program to develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing programs to improve the overall health and wellness of employees.
Partner with external vendors and organizations to provide specialized services.
Compliance:
Ensure all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to healthcare reform, pensions, tax laws, and other government mandates across global markets.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of benefits plans to ensure accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
Cost Management:
Monitor and control benefits costs through effective negotiation with providers and utilization management strategies.
Implement strategies to improve employee health and wellness, which can lead to lower healthcare costs.
Vendor and Stakeholder Management:
Lead negotiations with benefits vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective pricing, high-quality service, and strategic partnerships; monitor vendor relationships and performance.
Collaborate with the HR team to support the retention and engagement of employees through comprehensive benefits packages that meet diverse needs.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience in benefits
Proven track record of driving strategic benefits initiatives that align with company goals and enhance employee engagement.
Strong knowledge of global benefits regulations, health insurance, retirement programs, and employee wellness trends.
Ability to navigate complex global regulatory environments and ensure compliance with local and international laws.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred skills and experiences
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Human Resources
Master’s Degree
Experience managing benefits programs across multiple regions and cultures, including North America, EMEA, APAC, and LAR.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholders.
Experience with manufacturing workforce
Known for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail, and common sense.
Strong analytical and financial management skills, with the ability to assess the cost-effectiveness and ROI of benefits programs.
Creative thinking and continuous improvement mindset
Proficient in Google Suite (Google docs, etc.)
