Constantinides at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join an exciting Department of Energy (DOE)-funded project focused on developing new stable organic radical polarizing agents for nuclear spin hyperpolarization in NMR spectroscopy and imaging applications.Project Overview:This research aims to leverage radical dynamics to improve spin polarization transfer efficiency, using stable organic radicals as platforms for Overhauser DNP. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the design, synthesis, and characterization of novel organic radicals and assist in evaluating their properties using multi-field DNP-NMR.Key Responsibilities:
Organic synthesis of novel stable organic radicals
Spectroscopic characterization (NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, Mass Spec, CV, EPR)
Training undergraduate researchers
Manuscript preparation and conference presentations at national and international meetings
