Design, Develop, Release and Launch seat systems or components through GPDS (PRE-PSC to J1).

QWCT (Quality, Weight, Cost, Timing) management for assigned parts.

Attend program related meetings: To4, Seat complete, EMMs, TDRMs, supplier meetings, purchasing meetings, etc. Some of them should be led by the D&R Engineer.

Develop and execute Seat system/component level Design Verification Plans, support vehicle/system level DVP, and ensure compliance to all System Design Specifications (SDS) and Federal Regulations including unique Export Market Requirements.

Create and maintain a timing/Gantt chart (PDP) for assigned parts and project.

Keep a prevent recurrence actions /lessons learned / required design rules list, and cascade to Core team.

Coordinate with other areas to make sure design intent meets all requirements (Seat Complete, Seat Structure, Seat Features, Studio, Safety, Craftsmanship, VO, PVT, Supplier, Tool shop, Purchasing, Finance, Program, etc.)

Lead integration of seating components into the seat system

You'll haveMinimum

A Bachelor of engineering on: Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial or related.

MS Office expertise (including Project).

2+ Years - Product development and parts verification/validation experience.

2+ Years - ADS, FSMS and GPDS systems knowledge.

FMEA knowledge and Experience.

Able to read and conceptualize 2D and 3D Engineering Drawings (including GD&T).

Teamcenter, Tc VisMockup and CATIA (Basic) knowledge. CAD Software

Excellent graphical communication skills (sketching).

Able to explain complex engineering concepts to other areas: Studio, Program, etc.

Structured problem solving and thinking.

Proactive, Disciplined.

Strong network and relationship builder.

Proficient English (Reading, listening and writing).

Go getter.

Self-accountable for delivering results.

Able to negotiate with other areas.

Methodical but able to quickly analyze and take decisions.

Out of the box, innovative, and resilient in the face of adversity.

Ability and willingness to travel, as occasional travel will be required (Dearborn, Supplier sites, Ford assembly plant).
