Position Summary:
The Paving Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the asphalt paving crew. This role ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to specification.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage daily paving operations on-site
Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications
Supervise equipment operators, laborers, and truck drivers
Coordinate materials, equipment, and logistics for job sites
Enforce all safety protocols and conduct daily safety meetings
Read and interpret site plans, grades, and job specs
Maintain accurate job records, timesheets, and reports
Communicate clearly with project managers and inspectors
Requirements:
3+ years of asphalt paving experience (1+ year in a foreman role preferred)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of paving equipment and materials
Ability to read site drawings and operate paving machinery
Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)
Must be dependable and safety-focused
