Awell known structural engineering company is looking for two CAD engineers part time to full time to create detailed 2D and 3D models and technical drawings and connectionfor various commercial and industrial steel workprojects of Auto industry from products to buildings. Their experience includes translating concepts into precise digital plans, collaborating with engineers . Essential skills include proficiency in CAD software, a strong understanding of design concepts and engineering principles and use of AISC 360 and AISC 341 -22 for seismic connection designs , problem-solving abilities, and good communication.
Key responsibilities of a CAD engineer
Design and drafting: Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and schematics based on project requirements.
Collaboration: Work with architects, engineers, and other teams to identify goals and challenges.
Material selection: Help choose appropriate materials thatmeets AISC steel data bases
Problem-solving: Address specific problems and find solutions for unique situations that arise during a project.
Quality assurance: Oversee and participate in quality control programs to ensure the accuracy and compliance of designs.
Mentorship: Guide junior drafters and technicians in their work.
How to gain experience
Education: A bachelor's degree in an engineering field is often required for a CAD engineer role, experiences in ACAD drafting of Connections and base plate and anchorages.
Software proficiency: Gain experience with specific CAD programs 2D& 3D
Use of TEKLA or similar software structure for preparingdetailing 3D models and Fabrication drawings and creating files and bill of materials.
Practical skills: Develop a strong understanding of the design process, including 3D modeling, assembly, drafting, quality control,
