Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. This role involves a range of responsibilities in bookkeeping, month-end close, and other accounting tasks. You will be working in a well-structured environment and will be expected to handle tasks such as journal entries, general ledger management, and financial data review. Responsibilities: Perform month-end closing procedures and reconciliations. Manage journal entries and general ledger operations. Review financial data for accuracy, clarity, and completeness. Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounting tasks and review financial data. Ensure all accounting procedures comply with regulations and internal policies. Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures. Handle customer inquiries related to their accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records. Monitor customer accounts regularly and take appropriate action when necessary. Play a key role in financial audits and cooperate with external auditors. Requirements Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Demonstrate proficiency in bookkeeping and managing general ledgers. Have relevant experience with month-end close procedures. Be adept at preparing and reviewing journal entries. Exhibit proficiency in utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting tasks. Have strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in all work. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Display strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Be able to adhere to strict deadlines and deliver under pressure. Exhibit a strong understanding of financial regulations and standards. Have a commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of accounting.
