Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a Children and Youth Program Manager for a non-profit client in Detroit, Michigan. This specific program seeks to stretch the minds of young people (ages 6-15) stimulate their creativity and explore with them alternatives to violence. The Manager of the Program guides and supports volunteers and staff to provide a safe environment, define goals and administer programs for art, tutoring and summer camp programs. This role will be onsite Monday-Friday but you must be able to work a flexible schedule including late afternoons/early evenings and some Saturdays as needed.Main Responsibilities Include:· Demonstrate, exemplify and support the Capuchin Charism and Provincial Mission, Vision and Values throughout all professional responsibilities and activities· With the support of the Director of Social Services develop and sustain programs for participants consistent with the clients mission and scope of services· As program liaison, assist Directors and Public Relations and Developmental teams with fundraising, social media campaigns and volunteer recruitment/ appreciation activities· Work with community agencies and schools to raise awareness of program and increase participation· Manage and evaluate needs assessments of the children and their families· Ensure adequate supplies, staffing and resources needed for all program activities and events are available· Define program goals and objectives, evaluate and administer each program including but not limited to art therapy, tutoring and summer programing· Ensure transportation services are available before and after programs· Ensure that profiles of families are maintained in Linked2Feed system.· Collect and analyze data to guide program direction· Collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure volunteers are approved and meet requirements including background checks and Protecting Gods Children training· Effectively manage staff to ensure effective delivery of programs and events· Be available for all programs and events· Collaborate with Art Therapy Coordinator and Academic Specialist regarding progress reports for participants and effectively communicate the reports to parents/guardians, teachers and staff· Work with Kitchens Manager and Security Staff to ensure safe environment for all participants and volunteers· Manage finances of programs including developing and working within annual budget and petty cash· Comply with Province and ministry policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
