The Field Sales Engineer – Fluid Connectors Division is responsible for supporting sales efforts in the Midwest region by providing technical expertise and solutions to prospective and existing Stäubli Fluid Connector clients. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering tailored solutions, and facilitating successful sales cycles.This position works within the following Staubli Business sectors: Chem/Pharma, Alternative Fuels, Motorsports, and General Industrial.The Field Sales Engineer is expected to collaborate closely with the Fluid Connector Division Sales team, Product Management team, and Sales Admin team, to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the division's growth.Reports to:Sales Manager: Industrial & Specialty Markets – US/CAResponsibilities and Objectives:Customer Engagement:Develop a weekly call plan targeting open quotes, ongoing projects, leads, and key accountsOrganize plans using Outlook Calendar or as per company policy, ensuring visibility and structureTypical work week should consist of 1 day in home office for activity follow-up and planning forward.  4 days of field work consisting of Visits and Teams Meetings with A/B accounts and leads, with a goal of 2 Face to Face Visits/Web Meeting with A/B accounts per day.Prospect for new business opportunities, demonstrating persistence and efficiency in follow-upsCRM Management:Record detailed call reports and prospecting notes as per company policy in the CRM systemMaintain comprehensive records of all customer interactions and relevant sales activitiesSales Strategy:Implement the company's chosen sales strategy in day-to-day activity, and achieve success with this methodologyReports & Administration:Submit weekly expense reports and monthly project reports adhering to company guidelinesManage expenses responsibly in alignment with company policiesMarket Intelligence:Promptly report competitor activities and any significant market shifts to the Regional ManagerStay informed about industry trends and customer needsTraining & Meetings:Attend all mandatory sales/training meetings, exhibitions, and other company-related eventProfessional Conduct:Uphold professional communication standards, ensuring the company's welfare and reputation in every interactionAdheres to all safety, quality and environmental standards
