Description Summary: The OS Platform Engineer III's primary duties involves design work, specifically designing strategic and tailored solutions in order to build tools, services and workflows that deliver operating system platforms for Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems utilizing tools for automated deployments and continuous configuration and compliance.Duties and Responsibilities:

Frequently anticipates problems and analyzes ways to mitigate the risk.

Articulates the business value and impact of advanced technical and non-technical information and understands when to escalate issues.

Provides advanced production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and customer/vendor dialogue.

Documents small-to medium-scale projects and delivers presentations with minimal supervision.

Dissects complex situations and refocuses on critical technology tasks.

Is often consulted by peers and seen as the informal leader on tactical problems.

Provide Level 3/4 engineering support for the corporate Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS platforms.

Verify hardware/software requirements, design and configure operating solutions to include standalone systems as well as advanced systems.

Provide analysis of virtual and physical OS platforms covering configuration, monitoring, capacity analysis, and in-depth troubleshooting.

Maintains current professional and technical skills.

Keep abreast of current and emerging technologies, how they integrate and drive value for Huntington.​

Develop secure configurable baseline configurations that meet industry standards for security and compliance.

Engineer automation pipelines for OS platform delivery though repeatable workflows and technical solutions.

Integrate quality assurance tools to guarantee service level strategies for operating system deployment and configuration.

Implements and manages solutions into the enterprise virtualization infrastructure.

Collaborate with internal teams to integrate engineering solutions across multiple technologies.

Document and deliver standardized engineering solutions and processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree

7+ years of related experience

Microsoft Windows Server platforms

VMWare virtualization technologies.

Experience with infrastructure automation and compliance tools

Development experience with scripting and coding tools

Management of multiple projects and road map efforts for the enterprise infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications:

High degree of technical expertise/professional mastery to recommend process improvements

Strong DevOps infrastructure and application integration background

Puppet Enterprise

Azure DevOps

VMWare Cloud Foundation

VMWare Aria Automation and Config

Red Hat Enterprise Linux platforms

Python

Ruby
