The Educational Partnerships & Experiences unit is part of the Teacher Education Division within the College of Education at Wayne State University. Our deep-rooted commitment to excellence, collaboration, integrity, diversity, and inclusion creates exceptional educational opportunities preparing students for success in a diverse, global society.Essential Functions: Educational Partnerships and Experiences is seeking experienced PK-Grades 12 teachers to work as Part Time Faculty in one of two general capacities: (1) Teach a clinical course for students enrolled in their exploratory field placement and (2) Serve as a University Supervisor for teacher candidates placed in a formal PK-Grade 12 school site. Required Qualifications:Graduate degree in the field of education. At least 5 years of teaching experience in either early childhood centers in the US and/or P-12 US schools.US State teacher certification/licensure in a certification area offered by Wayne State University.Commitment to educational equity and the pursuit of social, emotional, and academic success of all students.Ability to utilize technology/course management tools to support student success.Effective written and oral communication to support student success.Demonstrated knowledge and use of current and best instructional methods in the classroom. Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching in urban schools. Experience as a cooperating teaching and/or university supervisor. Experience with culturally responsive teaching practices.
