Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications ?
  • 5 years of experience in performing network support
  • 5 years of experience analyzing network failures or outages
  • 5 years of experience in network design and implementation
  • Technical certifications (CCNA, CCNPC)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Job Summary
As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll monitor, operate, install and maintain our network infrastructure and security, which can include the local area network (LAN), the wide area network (WAN), intranets, extranets or other data communication networks.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor, operate, install and maintain high availability network infrastructure
  • Be responsible for network monitoring
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve complex network issues and perform network tuning
  • Install and configure general network equipment and systems
  • Develop the network architecture to meet business needs, develop test plans and evaluate the technology
  • Develop plans for the future of services, which the Network team is responsible for delivering
  • Regularly connect with vendors of systems owned to ensure we?re utilizing best practices and using their products as effectively as possible
  • Suggest and implement operational efficiencies to help their team work more effectively
  • Stay current on industry trends and suggest opportunities to implement new technologies or processes
  • Develop and implement network security policies
  • Develop documentation for incident response, administering systems and system upgrades
  • Coordinate equipment needs with internal clients
  • Be a go-to person for any network concerns, such as technology incidents and network outages
  • Coordinate contracts for external vendors for scheduling, pricing and contract length for various network needs
  • Mentor junior-level team members
