If you are excited about delivering high performance scalable solutions that protects Fortune 500 companies and stops the bad guys, this is the place for you.As a Staff Web Software Engineer on our Web Platform group, you will be building and maintaining the core technologies used to deliver user interfaces across Proofpoint’s products. This development will include designing and building out libraries, specifying code design patterns and implementing toolchains to accelerate our UI development across the company. This is a uniquely-challenging role: we empower small teams to make large impacts, the scale of our data is legitimately huge, and we're building product that is absolutely mission-critical to our customers 24/7/365.Your day-to-day

Own and maintain our primary shared UI library and toolkit, which is utilized across the company

Consult with teams across multiple organizations to both solicit feedback and evangelize our shared solutions

Select systems and technologies to enable us to solve common problems within our shared UI codebase

Write automation code that deploys and monitors your systems in the cloud

Evaluate new design & code patterns regularly; learn new techniques and technologies; share what you have learned with your peers

Mentoring engineers across the company as they learn to adopt our platform

What you bring to the team

8+ years of meaningful hands-on engineering experience developing large scale systems using JavaScript, TypeScript or similar

Direct hands-on experience with and deep knowledge of React

Deep understanding of MFE architectures.

Strong understanding of the dynamics of source management on shared UI projects, experience with monorepos/NX is a plus

Experience working with multiple teams, managing stakeholders, and building consensus across them

Excellent communication and leadership skills

A pro-active attitude and a willingness to move forward through uncertainty

Cloud-native development, automating deployments, familiarity of container systems.

Experience with multiple UI deployment models

Experience with one or more UI back-ends (Rails, Swing, Node, etc) is a plus

Strong debugging skills.

AWS experience a plus

Strong conviction to solve critical business problems in an efficient manner, building on your experience in a mature software development lifecycle (SDLC)

A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

In this role, you will provide energy advice and coordination services for the energy efficiency programs; these services include: building maintenance, lighting, controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for energy efficiency and comfort.
