We’re dedicated to empowering people, solving tough problems, and helping careers flourish inside and out.Position Summary:The Strategic Sales Engineer plays an integral role in the sales cycle and is responsible for presenting ChannelAdvisor’s Software Platform and Services offerings to our strategic prospects and customers. Reporting to the Global Director of Sales Engineering, this individual works closely with Senior Strategic Sales Executives to identify and understand business requirements and execute a technical sales strategy, effectively demonstrating the solutions that address these requirements while highlighting business value. The Strategic Sales Engineer will establish confidence in ChannelAdvisor’s technology infrastructure and service offerings and assist in removing technical objections throughout the sales process.Responsibilities:

Participate in all stages of the sales lifecycle including assisting Strategic Account Executives in identifying additional opportunity through proper discovery, providing technical assistance necessary to validate the opp, deliver customized demos including examples of how the prospect can be successful with ChannelAdvisor and support Sales in final details necessary to close the deal

Participate in company-wide projects for cross-functional efforts to improve Company and Customer outcomes.

Manage RFP / Infosec requests including, but not limited to, establishing internal team, project tracking, and completion of requests

Work with Product Management for feedback loop; submitting feature requests, enhancement requests, etc.

Work with Launch Services for feedback loop; providing insight into customer challenges during handoff, understanding common implementation issues and working to avoid them.

Participate in all team activities for the sales team they support (weekly meetings, pipeline calls, team QBRs, loss reviews, etc.)

Stay informed regarding changes surrounding the industry

Maintain relevant industry certifications

Occasional travel required for on-site prospect and client presentations (10-15%)

Requirements:Qualifications

Working Knowledge of online D2C commerce ie. Retailers (1P), Marketplaces (3P), Digital Marketing (Retail Media Services, Search/PLA, Social Marketing, etc)

Proven track record with success as a Sales Engineer, or other role supporting the sales process with some of the largest brands and retailers in the world.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to establish credibility and trust with cross functional teams

Available for 10-15% regular travel to support named accounts

Capable of working effectively in a team setting, as well as on your own with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical working knowledge of API integrations (REST & SOAP)

Familiar with common enterprise back-end system solutions, configurations and core requirements.
