They span market sectors and geographies and require innovative technical solutions to solve wide-ranging environmental problems within diverse community profiles.The successful individual who occupies this role will be responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within the assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single-area, multi-area or multi-discipline construction project. We are looking to add a member to the Field Management team. You would be the primary client contact for all jobsite day-to-day activities or may coordinate with the client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned areas of operations. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.        Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project. Responsibilities are to ensure assigned job site operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. May be the primary client contact for all jobsite day to day activities, or may coordinate with client’s resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations. Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff, and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.Manage field crews and craft labor between 5 to 30 personManage workflows and data Project roles will vary including technical support and leading tasksComfortable working with a team toward a common goal, while working independently on individual tasks

Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Certificate in construction Minimum of five years experience in similar role Structures and bridges construction experience Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.   • Deck Engineer Duties Organizing, planning, directing and overseeing the execution and delivery of a segment (deck) of a large-scale infrastructure construction project in Canada in accordance with specifications, design, schedules, and budget proposed in contractual documents; Reviewing client\'s requirements and project documents to gain understanding of the project; Coordinating and developing construction execution plan for a segment (deck) of the bridge which outlines staffing, materials, equipment, subcontracting and other services necessary to deliver project on-time and within budget; Attending meetings with project staff and management to relay information related to project responsibilities throughout the project; Liaising with Field Engineers and coordinating work between departments, employees and sub-contractors at the bridge deck; Evaluating materials procured by procurement department and directing their use; Overseeing the financial aspects of the contracts for a segment (deck) of the bridge; Coordinating with department managers to establish work plans and staffing for the bridge segment (deck) of the project; Liaising with Technical department and/or designer in all technical aspects related to bridge deck construction; Ensuring construction work is in compliance with regulations; Implementing and monitoring safety, quality control and environmental programs; Anticipating any potential roadblocks and developing solutions to prevent issues; Applying and ensuring all aspects of the organizational policies, objectives and initiatives are correctly implemented and enforced; Overseeing execution of operational, technical, financial and administrative controls on projects; Preparing progress reports and communications for client and for internal management; Monitoring and overseeing the efficient use of materials and equipment; and Ensuring construction work is completed accurately and the successful delivery of project within time, cost, safety, quality and environmental restrictions. Specialized knowledge/Qualifications required include: Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering; Extensive experience working in large-scale civil infrastructure projects involving bridge construction; Knowledge of bridge structures that include: pre-stressed girder box & cable stayed bridge, reinforcement steel bars; stay cables; precast slabs, post tensioning, bridge segmental construction methods (form travelers, segment lifters, etc.); Experience in heavy lifting operations and coordinating various teams on site on deck that include the assembly and operation of heavy bespoke deck equipment for segmental bridge construction including the hydraulic and electrical components; Experience in Formwork (traditional and metallic frames), Reinforcement and Concrete (bridges); Knowledge of Quantity Surveying; Cost Controls and Scheduling to provide reports to Senior Management; and Experience working with programs including Excel, MS Projects, Word, Power Point, AutoCAD, Bluejean and Times sheet Tool.
