At Stumblebum Beer, the kitchen brings together a small, focused menu of charcuterie, paninis, and other snacks that center around our key obsession: beer and cheese. The prep and line cooks ensure a smooth operation by making sure that the kitchen is clean, menu items organized, and that dishes are executed and delivered in a timely manner. Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with management to ensure operations run smoothly and issues are communicated properly
Have a full understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Make sure correct food handling practices are being used at all times
Maintain industry standards of food quality and presentation
Follow company rules and regulations
Prepare food orders in a timely and organized manner
Help the team in preparation of all food items required for service on the line
Ensure guest s special dietary needs are adhered to
Responsible for correct and timely food execution at all times
Assist in kitchen clean-up and in general maintenance of all cooking and service items
Ability to open and/or close the kitchen
Assist in maintaining an inventory for all items
Handle and resolves any food related issues, or complaints from guests or staff
Ensure the line is properly cleaned and ready for service the following day
Be willing to work in any area as needed: line, dish, prep, stocking, etc.
Required Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Strong verbal and written communication/organization skills
Able to work 30-40 hours per week
Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
Strong work ethic
Able to work flexible hours including working nights, weekends, and some holidays to manage and train effectively
Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 pounds
