SOUS CHEF

Trattoria Da Luigi, an Italian family-owned business in the heart of Downtown Royal Oak, MI, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian cuisine, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

- Prepares ingredients and dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards

- Maintains a clean and organized kitchen, following food safety guidelines

- Collaborates with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service

- Ensures that all dishes are presented in a visually appealing manner

- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- Minimum age of 18 years old

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably 3 years

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Reliable transportation

- Familiarity with Italian cuisine and cooking techniques

What to expect:

- Hourly wage or salary to be determined based on experience

- Opportunity to work in a supportive and friendly environment

- Our restaurant hours are 4-10pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays and 4-11pm on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
