The Statler Restaurant in Detroit is looking for experienced line cooks and chefs.
At The Statler you will be responsible for preparing high level foods to create an exceptional dining experience that will make our guests want to return again and again.
Your duties will include but are not exclusive to:
learning menus and recipes, following chefs direction
maintaining a clean and organized service area
welcoming our guests to an exceptional dining experience
you will need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a strong team work mentality
If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to follow the direction of Executive Chef Jeff Lanctot, formerly of the Rattlesnake Club, to execute foods at the highest level.
Requirements:
High school diploma is a plus but not required
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an upscale/fine dining restaurant
Must have line cook experience
High volume and upscale work experience is recommended
Advanced knife skills & food knowledge is a plus
