Position Summary:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Medical Assistant who is passionate about integrative health and wellness. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional clinical and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and the highest quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and review/update medical histories.
Prepare patients for exams and assist the provider during treatments and procedures.
Administer injections and vaccinations as directed.
Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens as needed.
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and ensure all supplies are stocked.
Input and update patient information in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) system.
Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription refills.
Educate patients on integrative services, wellness programs, and follow-up care instructions.
Support front desk tasks when necessary, including scheduling and phone calls.
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
1+ year of experience in a clinical setting strongly preferred.
Phlebotomy certification or experience is a plus.
Familiarity with integrative or holistic medicine is a bonus but not required—just an open mind!
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
