This position involves responsibility within a particular home for assisting in general and specific ways in maintaining a home atmosphere which is supportive to people and assisting individuals in their daily functioning.
Appropriate personality, disposition and attitude to work with people.

Basic community skills in writing , communication , listening suitable to the job performance.

Carries out specific duties as assigned by the home management.
Assist people with basic self care needs.
Assist with general housekeeping duties ( laundry, shopping, food preparation, serving/clean up , transporting, etc.
Serves as a social role model for individuals in the home.
Teach and model appropriate social behavior.
Provide emotional, psychological, physical, educational support to individuals.
Answers the telephone, receives visitors and fosters positive relationships with relatives, neighbors and community.
Makes necessary entries into individuals home records.
Assist the Home Managers and other staff in whatever ways necessary to maintain the stability, integrity and positive atmosphere of the homes environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Must have - High School Diploma or Equivalent.
-At least 18 years of age and at least one year of Direct Care experience.
-VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.
Training from one of the Following Agencies: ( CLS ) ( WAYNE CENTER ) ( M.O.R.C. ) or Related Programs : MAASAOT Center , VGS Consultants, Inc. , Educator's Unlimited Inc. and Training and Treatment Innovations, Inc.
