Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant in our neurosurgery office, you will play a vital role in supporting both clinical and administrative functions. You’ll assist with patient preparation, and ensure smooth communication between patients, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Check patients in and may require check out
Record vital signs and detailed medical histories
Manage patient records using EMR system eClinicalWorks
Support pre-op and post-op patient education
Handle scheduling, insurance verification, and billing support
Maintain sterile environments and equipment readiness
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
Experience in neurology or surgical settings is a plus, but not needed
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
CPR certification preferred, but not required
